Childhood Trauma

I specialise in childhood trauma, with a focus on the unique challenges faced by individuals during their formative years, particularly those who may struggle with having been adopted or fostered. Many of my clients come to me carrying deep, often unspoken pain from early experiences of disconnection, abandonment, or not feeling fully at home in their own story. These wounds can linger into adulthood, showing up in self-doubt, relationship struggles, parenting challenges, and a sense of not truly knowing who they are.
My work is rooted in helping clients gently unpack and reframe their childhood experiences—without minimizing the pain, but also without staying stuck in it. Together, we explore the beliefs formed in early life and how they continue to shape decisions, emotions, and identity today. This process allows clients to rewrite their inner narrative: from one shaped by survival and confusion, to one rooted in understanding, compassion, and agency.
I particularly love supporting parents who are committed to breaking generational cycles and want to raise their own children with security and emotional clarity—but find themselves triggered, overwhelmed, or unsure. Therapy becomes a space to learn what safety and trust truly feel like, so they can model it for their families.
Ultimately, my goal is to help each client feel more secure in who they are, more confident in the choices they make, and more at peace with the past that shaped them—but no longer defines them.
The methods I use include:
Accessing the Subconscious Mind
• Through guided relaxation and hypnosis, we gently access the subconscious—the part of the mind where early memories, emotions, and belief patterns are stored.
Regression Therapy
• We use regression to revisit earlier stages of life, even pre-verbal or forgotten memories. This allows us to uncover the root causes of present-day challenges, such as:
o Fear of abandonment
o Identity confusion
o Difficulty forming close relationships
o Feelings of rejection or not belonging
Hypno-Analysis
• Hypno-analysis combines hypnosis with deeper therapeutic exploration. While in a relaxed state, you’re able to safely process unresolved emotions and limiting beliefs that stem from early life events.
Emotional Release and Reframing
• Traumatic memories often carry emotional "charges." Together, we work to release these trapped emotions and reframe past experiences—helping you move from pain to empowerment.
Inner Child Healing
• Many wounds from adoption or fostering relate to unmet emotional needs. Through inner child work, we nurture and comfort those younger parts of you—restoring safety, connection, and self-worth.
Strengthening Identity & Self-Worth
• Hypnotherapy supports the integration of fragmented parts of the self. You begin to reconnect with your true identity—not defined by early experiences, but by your own strength and self-awareness.
